Postpartum Doula Services

You grew a human. Now let us take care of you.

Rest and recuperate with a postpartum doula

Our postpartum doulas provide physical, emotional, and informational support to your whole family in the weeks and months after birth. Unlike a night nurse who focuses primarily on the baby, a postpartum doula supports the full picture, your recovery, your emotional wellbeing, newborn care education, infant feeding, and making sure you actually get some sleep.

Think of us as calm, experienced, non-judgmental support for the real postpartum experience, not the Instagram version of it.

The difference postpartum support makes

  • Consistent support during the postpartum period is linked to lower rates of postpartum depression and anxiety in new mothers.

  • Overnight doula support means someone else handles the 2am soothing session, so you wake up feeling human again.

  • Having knowledgeable, hands-on support at home in the early days significantly improves feeding confidence and outcomes.

  • We support both parents. Your partner learns alongside you, so they feel capable and connected, not just a bystander.

  • When someone else is handling meals and baby care, your body gets the rest it needs to actually heal.

  • No more 3am Google spirals. Your doula answers your questions as they come up, with calm, evidence-based guidance.

What to expect when you hire us

Free consultation

1

We start with a complimentary meeting. Most families connect via Zoom, but we're happy to meet in person on request. This is your chance to ask questions, share your hopes for the postpartum period, and make sure we're the right fit for your family

Prenatal planning visit

2

Once you've hired your doula, we schedule a prenatal visit to walk through your expectations, home setup, feeding goals, and anything else on your mind before baby arrives.

Your support begins

Daytime or overnight , we show up on your schedule. Every shift, your doula provides hands-on care for baby, support for you, and whatever else helps your household run smoothly that day.

Ongoing communication

Between visits, you have unlimited text, call, and email support. Questions don't wait for office hours, and neither do we.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. In fact, it often improves bonding. When you're exhausted and overwhelmed, it's hard to be present. Having support means you're more rested, more emotionally available, and better able to enjoy those early moments with your baby. Our doulas are there to fill in the gaps, not replace you. Every feeding, every snuggle, every quiet moment you want with your newborn is yours — we just make sure you have the energy to be there for them.

  • A postpartum doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support to new families. During a visit, your doula might care for your newborn while you sleep, assist with breastfeeding, prepare a light meal, tidy the nursery, support older siblings, or simply sit with you and talk through how you're feeling. Every visit is tailored to what you need most that day.

  • A night nurse (or newborn care specialist) focuses almost exclusively on the baby. A postpartum doula supports the whole family, including the mother, baby, partner, and sometimes older children too. Our role is as much about maternal recovery, mental health, and parenting education as it is about infant care.

  • We recommend reaching out during your second trimester. Postpartum doulas book out quickly in the Phoenix area, and having your support confirmed before baby arrives means you won't be scrambling in those exhausted early days. That said, we always discuss last-minute availability, so don't hesitate to reach out regardless of where you are in your pregnancy.

  • Yes. Our doulas provide general breastfeeding support, help with latch, positioning, reading feeding cues, and building your confidence at home. If more specialized support is needed, we can connect you with our board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) for dedicated one-on-one care.

  • It depends on your family's needs and budget. Daytime visits have a 4-hour minimum, available 1–3 days per week. Overnight shifts run 8–10 hours, available 1–3 nights per week. Many families start with two visits per week and adjust from there. During your free consultation, we'll help you figure out what makes sense for your specific situation.

  • Most insurance plans do not cover postpartum doula services directly, though some HSA and FSA accounts may apply. We recommend checking with your benefits provider. We offer payment plans to help make support more accessible — ask us about options during your consultation.

  • We serve families throughout the greater Phoenix metro area, including Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Tempe, Chandler, Scottsdale, and Phoenix.
